Early computer education

Using a computer every day can have more negative than positive effects on children. Do you agree or disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Essay :
There is no doubt that the advent of computers has revolutionized the world in last one decade. Around the globe, children nowadays start using computers from very young age. Although it is very important for children to participate in a well balanced veriety of activities like outdoor event and sports, in my openion computer education is the must-have skill for succeeding in future. Computer cognition (knowledge) is imperative (necessary) in all perspectives such as personal, academic and professional.
From personal point of view, computers are an invaluable resource for young people to explore the world and avilable oppertunities around them. Internet connectivity has expedited the data availabilty to such extent that information searching has now became more easier and more amusing. By starting in early age, children feel totally at ease around computers./By starting computes at early age, children tend to be more comfortable and confident in future.
Computers are backbone of todays education system. Recent Educomp learning method is the perfect example of that. Not only students, teachers are also procuring the enormous benifits of this. From writing assignments, creating presentations to completing thesis, computers are the most valuable resource. So, early knowledge is definately a plus point for the children.
Lastly and most importantly, computers have taken a parmanent position in workplace nowadays. Starting from government job to hi-tech engineering profession, computers are now the initial requirement.
In conclusion, we will have to accept that computers as a technological tool is here to stay forever and I believe that if children start learning them daily for reasonable time along with other important activities, they will become more confidant and successful in future.

Need for Public Transport

The rising levels of congestion and air pollution found in most of the world cities can be attributed directly to the rapidly increasing number of private cars in use. In order to reverse this decline in the quality of life in cities, attempts must be made to encourage people to use their cars less and public transport more. Discuss possible ways to encourage the use of public transport.

Essay:
In the modern world where the environmental awareness is increasing very rapidly, improved public transport system is the key to the future quality of life. Although people do enjoy convenience and privacy of travelling in their own private vehicle, they can use public transport if it fulfils few conditions which will attract or encourage them to shift to public transport. These conditions can be categorized as attitudinal, financial and logistical.
From an attitudinal perspective, people who are accustomed to use their private vehicles needs to be convinced that public transport can be better alternatives with lots of benifits. An educational and public relation compaign should be launched to sensitize people and familiarize them with the environmental, social and personal benifits for future generations.
From functional perspective, the cost of public transportaion should be affordable for all range of consumers. If people feel that by using bus and subways, they can save a lot of money to take a free holiday trip each year, many more people can be persuaded to travel in this way.
The last but not the least, logistical perspective. This means that route, timing and availability of buses and subways should be traveller friendly. City planner and transport officials needs to ensure that a convinient and reliable public transport is available for each citizen. The conditions of transport vehicles, bus or subway stations should be well maintained and clean.
To summarize, there are mulitple ways available to promote the use of public transport over private vehicles but for this, city government, transport officials and polititions should also use this mode of transport and set an example for public. The more people will be encouraged to follow this suit and we may all hope to live in a cleaner environment.

Computer vs Teachers

Topic : As computers are being used more and more in education, there will be soon no role for teachers in the classroom.
Do you agree or disagree.

Essay :
There is no doubt that the advent of computers has tremendously raised the level of education in last two decades. The internet connectivity has expedited data availability and the search for information has become more eaiser and more amusing. The digital books and study materials is replacing the traditional paper books very rapidely. Some people believe that this computerized revolution is fading the role of the teacher in our education system and soon there will be no room for teachers in the classroom. But I strongly disagree and believe that there is no substitute for human interaction in the learning process.

Firstly, I believe that there is no alternative to the vast experience and expertiese of a teacher. Only a teacher can make the difference in the monotonous and shrewd student and change his/her style of teaching as per the needs of the student. The role of a teacher become more important for kids at primarly level as they can not even operate the complex computer systems.

Secondly, there are many subjects like mechanical, architectuer, biology, geophysics etc where hands-on experience has more imprtance over theoritical konwledge. So for these subjects the role of teacher is more important as they can guide the students based on their past experiences.

In the end, I would like to conclude that although computers are breakthrough in every field, the teachers play and will always play an important role in the classrooms especially at the primary level. No matter how complex the computer become, the human interaction can never be replaced.
