Population Explosion

Counties such as China, India and Japan have unsustainable population growths. In fact many experts are of the opinion that the population ‘explosion’ which is now a very worrying concern, is the most serious threat to life on this planet.

Give some suggestions to address this problem.

It took the entire humankind to reach to the population of 1 billion by 1810 and only in 120 years by 1930 its doubled. The statistics says that the population will reach to 10 billinon by 2025. The current rate of population is now a burden to human well-being. Understanding the factors which affects the population growth can help future plans to restrict the giant problem of population explosion.

First i want to discuss about the causes of the rapid population growth. Until recently, birth rates and death rates were nearly same. Thanks to improved nutirtions and sanitizations, medical technology ( vaccines and antibiotics) which rescues the number of deaths specially children below age of five. Now people live longer than ever before. Also, in countries like China and India, where more than 30% of population is less educated. Because of which they are not aware of the consequences of the population growth and have many children.

The major consequence of the population growth is an affect on basic needs for survival such as food, shelter, water, education and employment. These resources are limited on earth. But with the increasing population, soon there will be crises for these basic amenities. In addition to this increase in population will increase the poverty level of the people specially in the developing contries as due to illiteracy they are growing more children than the educated ones.

To control the increasing population, we first need to use technology to derive future population projections and its consequences. Then we need to educate people with these results. Teachers need to teach students about popluation explosion and its consequences so that they can learn to handle this problems in future.
